Biography

Elena Rosemary Adams (b. Dec 2002) is a composer, singer, pianist, and instrumental tutor based in Ordsall, Salford. They hold a First Class BA in Popular Music from Salford University and are currently pursuing an MMus in Composition at RNCM.

 

Having taken classical piano lessons for nearly a decade from the age of seven, Elena has a diverse musical background, as a singer across musical genres with a focus on composition and arranging.

 

Elena participated in the 2024 Manchester Jazz Festival Soundcheck scheme, gaining mentorship through masterclasses and jam sessions. They have performed as both a jazz and folk vocalist, including at Gobefest 2024 and 2025. 

 

Elena works in Rimmers Bolton, teaching piano and vocal techniques, specialising in musical theatre, and has led workshops with groups of primary school children. As a composer, they have transitioned from indie folk to acoustic chamber and choral music, focusing on arranging traditional folk music for orchestral contexts.
