Biography

Elena Rosemary Adams (b. Dec 2002) is a composer, singer, pianist, and instrumental tutor based in Manchester. Holding a first-class BA (Hons) in Popular Music from Salford University, they are an MMus Composition student at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

 

As a composer and arranger, Elena has worked with ensembles including RNCM Community Choir, RNCM Wind Orchestra, RNCM Session Orchestra, BBC Singers and London Sinfonietta.

 

As a performer, Elena participated in the 2024 Manchester Jazz Festival Soundcheck scheme and has performed as both a jazz and folk vocalist, including with the Scattered Collective at Gobefest in 2024 and 2025. In July 2025, Elena played the piano for recordings by Sean Austen-Vincent of fellow composer Cai Jones' works for piano and flute duet, alongside flautist Ashley McAulay.

 

Elena works as a vocal and piano tutor and is passionate about music pedagogy.
